Your monitor will provide the best image quality when you have your display settings adjusted for the monitor’s native resolution. The native resolution will usually be the highest resolution that the monitor can display. In this tutorial we will show you how to easily adjust your video display resolution.

To change your video display resolution settings, begin by:

  1. Clicking on “Start” or the Pearl in the lower left corner of your screen.
  2. Then click on “Control Panel” shortcut.

  1. Next click on “Adjust screen resolution”.

  1. Next, adjust your screen resolution by utilizing the resolution slider. Keep in mind that the monitor will display the best images when you have the display settings set to the monitor’s native resolution, which should be the maximum display resolution that you have the option of choosing at the very top of the slider.

  1. Next, click on “Apply” to apply the new adjustments to your display resolution.

  1. Afterwards, click on “Keep Changes” if you’re satisfied with the resolution changes. Otherwise, if you’re not satisfied with the changes click on “Revert” to change back to the original video resolution settings.

  1. Next, click on “Okay” to exit out of the resolution settings area. You can now close the control panel as well.

  1. This completes our Windows resolution settings tutorial.
