There are countless toolbars and add-ons for Google Chrome. Many of them are useful, while others are harmful. Even if they are of use, having too many of them enabled in Chrome will slow the browser down. Plus they also can clutter the top of the browser window, which may become irritating. In this tutorial we will discuss how you can remove those additional toolbars and add-ons.

To remove any un needed toolbars and extensions from Google Chrome, begin by:

  1. Opening Google Chrome and then click on the little “Options Menu” button in the upper right corner of the browser window.

  1. Next, click on the “Tools” option.

  1. Next, click on “Extensions”.

  1. Next, you have the option to either disable the extensions or you may completely remove them.

  1. In this example we’ll be removing the extensions. So we’ll be clicking on the little trash can next to the enable option.

  1. Confirm the removal of each extension or add-on.

  1. Afterwards, your list of extensions should have decreased or possibly be totally empty, depending on your previous choices.

  1. And as you can see, in our example the add-ons are now gone from the top of Google Chrome.

  1. That completes this tutorial.
