How To Disable Extensions, Plug-Ins and Other Add-ons From Firefox

This tutorial will show you how to disable and remove plug-ins and extensions from Mozilla Firefox.

To remove add-ons from Mozilla Firefox, begin by:

  1. Opening Firefox and then afterwards click on the “Tools” drop down menu at the top of the browser window. If your menu bar isn’t enable, you may enable it by following this guide.

  1. Next, click on “Add-ons”.

  1. Next, select the type of add-on that you want to disable.

  1. Next, select the add-on that you want to disable.

  1. Next, click the “Disable” button at the far right of each add-on that you want to disable.

  1. After you have disabled the add-ons that you don’t want, you can either click on the “Restart” option or simply close and then restart Firefox manually.

  1. Once Firefox reopens those unwanted add-ons should no longer be present.
