This virus is a serious threat to your personal privacy and information

The Packed.Generic.402 virus is used in various social engineering scams in attempts to take advantage of trending news stories to bait less experience computer users into clicking on malicious links that have been embedded in spam email messages. Once an unsuspecting victim clicks on one of the embedded links, they may be forwarded to a website that includes what appears to be a "Youtube" video. Once the video starts to play, an exploit kit executes malicious code on the unsuspecting victim's computer by taking advantage of exploits and vulnerabilities in the victim's web browser, installed applications or possibly their computer's operating system. Once installed, the Packed.Generic.402 virus steals sensitive user information such as bank account information and other user account login credentials. And it may also redirect your Internet searches to other infected websites.

Packed.Generic.402 represents a very serious privacy risk and should be removed quickly once it has been detected on your system.
