If you’re having problems viewing content from certain websites, or maybe your Safari web browser is slow, resetting the browser back to it’s default settings may be an option to consider as a last resort. Other troubleshooting techniques should be used before performing the reset if possible. In this tutorial we will show you how to restore Apple Safari’s default settings.

To reset Safari back to it’s default settings, begin by:

  1. Opening Apple Safari and then click the “Settings Menu” button.

  1. Click on the "Reset Safari" option.

  1. Next, select what areas of Safari that you want to reset back to their default values. If you want the browser to keep your saved website passwords and/or your saved autofill form data,  uncheck the “Remove Saved names and passwords’ and also the “Remove Other Autofill Form Text”.

  1. After you have made your selections, click on the “Reset” button at the bottom.

  1. Afterwards, wait a few moments for the default settings to be applied.
  2. Once the reset completes you’re all done!
