Exporting your Apple Safari bookmarks to another computer is easy to accomplish. This tutorial will show you the proper way to handle the procedure. There is a supplemental tutorial guide video at the bottom of this page.


To export your Safari bookmarks to another computer, begin by:

  1. Clicking on the “File” drop down menu in the upper left corner of the browser window. If you don’t have the Menu bar enabled, you may enable it by following this additional tutorial. Afterwards you should be able to access the “File’ drop down menu.






















  1. Next, click on “Export Bookmarks”.



















  1. Next, select a destination and a file name for the exported bookmarks file.























  1. Next, transfer the newly created bookmark file to the new computer that you need to import the bookmarks to. You can do this by using just about any kind of external media.
  2. Once you have transferred the bookmark file to the new computer, open Apple Safari and then click on the “File; menu in the upper left corner.





















  1. Next, click on “Import Bookmarks”.



















  1. Next, locate and select the exported bookmarks file that you transferred from the other computer.























  1. Next, enter a name for the imported bookmarks




















  1. That’s it, you’re done! Your bookmarks have now been imported to the new computer.
