This tutorial will show you how to change your user account photo in Windows XP. You have the option of using one of the default user account photos or you can use one of your own photos.


To change your Windows XP user account photo, begin by:

  1. Clicking on the “Start Button” in the lower left corner of your screen.




















  1. Next, click on the “Control Panel”.





















  1. Next, click on “User Accounts”.  As a side note, you should have your view set to “Classic View” in the upper left.

























  1. Next, select the account that you want to change the photo on.
























  1. Next, click on “Change The Picture”.























  1. Next, select from one of the default user account photos…























  1. Or you may utilize one of your own personal photos by clicking on “Browse for more pictures” and then locating your desired photo and then click on “OK”.























  1. Afterwards, click on “Change Picture”.
























  1. Afterwards,  you may exit out of the user account settings. Your chosen user account photo should now be applied.
