By default Google Chrome will simply open an account sign-in tab when it’s first opened. If you would prefer to have a web page opened instead of the sign-in tab, this tutorial will show you how to make the needed settings changes.


To make changes to the home page settings in Google Chrome, begin by:

  1. Opening Google Chrome and then click on the “Options Menu” button in the upper right corner.





















  1. Next, click on “Settings” in the “Options Menu”.























  1. Next, under the “On Startup” area, you have multiple options.  The options include:


















  1. In this tutorial we’ll be making changes to the opening page, which is the homepage. So you’ll need to click on “Open A Specific Page Or Set Of Pages” and then afterwards click on “Set Pages”.

























  1. Enter the website address that you want to be displayed when Chrome is first started, which is the homepage.










After you have made your changes, click on “Ok”.










  1. At this point you can close the settings area. Now your changes should be applied. You’re done!
