To modify your default file download location in Google Chrome, begin by:

  1. Opening Google Chrome and then click on the “Options Menu” button in the upper right hand corner of the web browser window.

  1. Next, click on “Settings” in the “Options Menu” drop down.

  1. Next,  scroll down the settings page and click on “Show Advanced Settings”.

  1. Next, click on the “Change’ button under and to the right of the “Downloads’ section. You also have the option of being asked where to save each file at the start of a download by selecting the “Ask Where To Save Each File Before Downloading”.

  1. Next, select your preferred download destination folder and then afterwards click on “Okay”.

  1. Your work is complete at this point. You may now close the “Settings” page.
