AVASoft Professional Antivirus is a rogue anti-virus program that tries to scare users into purchasing it  by displaying fake scan results. Under no circumstances should you purchase this rogue application. To do so would place your credit card information at risk.

How to remove AVASoft Professional Antivirus

To remove this fake anti-virus, you'll need to download a few utilities on a clean system and then transfer them to the infected system by burning them to cd.


The files you will need include:


  1. To begin the removal, start the infected system into "Safe Mode with Networking"













  1. Next, start "rKill" from the cd that you burned on the clean system. It will attempt to terminate any malicious processes that it finds loaded in your computer's memory.
  2. Next, disable your currently installed anti-virus.
  3. Next, execute the copy of combo fix from the external drive. It will take 15 minutes or more to complete it's scan and removal of any threats that it finds on your system.
  4. After "Combofix has finished, install the copy of "Malwarebytes from the external drive. After installation, update it and run a complete system scan with it.
























  1. After it has complete quarantine any threats that it locates.


  1. Next, reboot the computer and check for any remains of AVAsoft Professional Antivirus on the desktop. If there are still short cuts to it, delete them.


Afterwards open a web browser and check for connectivity. And also open a few of your frequently used applications, just to make sure that the rogue program is completely removed. If there are no longer any pop ups, your job should be complete. But if the virus still remains, you'll need to contact a professional virus removal specialists to remedy your situation
